I do not have any application making use of the USB ports in the host system and attach the USB drive only after the VMimage has been fully loaded and has focus. My problem (which you might be able to assume at this point) is that I cannot mount my USB drive inside the VMimage. I have tried 3 separate USB thumb drives of varying size that I have attempted a number of commands to gather information, most of which are presented below. I am using VM Workstation 5.0 (what my company has licenses for) and have created a RHEL4u5 image with all packages from the RHEL image installed. With that said here are the details of my situation: ![]() I am also not a Linux expert so some things that might be common sense to others are not that to me just yet. I have done about 14 hours of research preceding this post so I am fairly confident that my issue is a new one or at least my details are different enough that none of the similar issues brought me a resolution.
